Folding Pocket Knife
Case Knives USA, Medium Stockman, 3 blade folding knife, CA035, made in the USA. Measures 9 cm (3.5 inches) closed, chrome vanadium steel, 7 cm (2.8 inches) main blade, 5 cm (2 inches) sheep foot and spey blades. Traditional livestock farmer's knife, also ideal as an every day carry pocket knife, suitable for whittling, wood carving, model making etc. Synthetic yellow handle scales, brass handle liners, nickel silver bolsters.
Case Knives Yellow CV series includes 16 different pocket knife patterns with polished synthetic yellow handles and chrome vanadium steel blades. All knives are hand made in the USA with highly polished blades, bolsters, backsprings and handle scales. The year of manufacture of each Case knife can be identified using the XX and dot system marked on the blade tang. Further information on the marking system can be found on the WR Case website. Chrome vanadium steel is harder and holds a longer lasting cutting edge than stainless steel but is less resistant to corrosion. Chrome vanadium steel folding knives should be cleaned and oiled after use to prevent corrosion.
Today I received the second medium Stockman, CV steel, yellow delrin is the fourth pocket knife from WR Case.
One minus is that sheep foot blade is scratched by spey blade when open. But I do not mind too much, is something common in this model.
Otherwise as usual, built solid, no blade play at all, very sharp blades, perfect size for EDC. Medium Stockman is actually my favorite model as EDC, because the 3 blades gives me a greater variety of cuts than other pocket knives with only one blade.
I offer 5 star indulgent, because sheep foot blade is scratched by spey blade when open it as I mentioned.
I wish you all a good day.
